Oregano Greek 100 Seeds
Mid green, oval, pointed leaves, slightly wavy at the edges and white flowers. Delicious, pungent flavour, shorter than true oregano. Parts used: young leaves and leaf tops. Height 40-60cm.
Perennial growing to up to 60cm high. Cut the stems back to the ground to encourage new growth.
There are two main varieties.
"Greek Oregano" is the type normally associated with Oregano flavour.
For best flavour harvest in the morning just after the dew has lifted.
Culinary hints - cooking and eating Oregano
Used to flavour tomato dishes, soups, sauces and Greek dishes like moussaka.
