Many related plants also share the name "daisy", so to distinguish this species from other daisies it is sometimes qualified as common daisylawn daisy or English daisy. Historically, it has also been commonly known as bruisewort and occasionally woundwort (although the common name woundwort is now more closely associated with Stachys (woundworts)). Bellis perennis is native to western, central and northern Europe, but widely naturalised in most temperate regions including the Americas and Australasia.

How to Grow and Care for Daisy

When growing Daisy outdoors it is best to sow out the seeds on the surface from spring to mid summer.

They prefer to grow in rich soil and prefer lightly shaded or sunny areas of the garden. It is important to cut Daisy flowers back after flowering or they may take over the garden.
